Chiropractic

What truly differentiates doctors of chiropractic form any other health care professional, is the fact that Chiropractors are the only professional who are trained to diagnose and treat spinal vertebral subluxations.

A vertebral subluxation means a slight dislocations or misalignment of the 24 movable segments vertebrae of bones of the spine.

A Chiropractor corrects a misaligned vertebrae via a chiropractic adjustment which enables the body to heal itself. The adjustment is a quick thrust applied to the vertebrae for the purpose of correcting its position. Adjustments are often accompanied by an audible release of gas that sounds like a crack.

The 5 components of a Vertebral Subluxation complex

  1. Bone component: out of position or not moving properly or undergoing degeneration
  2. Nerve: disruption of normal flow of energy along the nerve fiber
  3. Muscular: nerves control muscles
  4. Soft tissues: tendons
  5. Chemical: in the change of the chemistry of the body due to the vertebral subluxation complex.

These changes get progressively worse over time if they are not treated correctly leading to chemical pain, inflammations, arthritis, muscular trigger points, the formation of bone spurs, loss of movement, as wall as muscle weakness and spasm.

Chiropractors are the only health professionals trained in the detection and correction of the vertebral subluxation complex.
